Sustainability

Loulette Bride is founded on principles of sustainability. We are committed to always being responsible, transparent, and ethical when creating your sustainable wedding dress.

Our values are the inspiration behind our creation. It is our goal to craft the most beautiful, ethical bridal gowns with the least impact on our environment, and the most positive impact on our community.

Manufacturing & Process

All gowns are made to order, which eliminates excess inventory.

We design and pattern our garments to create as little waste as possible.

We make everything in our Brooklyn studio, which eliminates excessive shipping, minimizes carbon impact, ensures that our quality is top notch, and that our labor is always fair and ethical.

All our shipping is carbon neutral and completely plastic-free, or packed with reused plastics from other sources.

Our garment bags are biodegradable.

Materials & Waste

We use recycled poly lining, and natural fabrics like cotton, silk, hemp, linen, and wool.

All fabric scraps are recycled with Fab Scrap.

All paper products are printed on recycled papers, or papers made from reclaimed fibers from the garment industry.

All paper waste is recycled and repurposed, and all plastic film is recycled.

We do not use leather, feather, fur, or any animal skins.

Community

For every dress sold, a tree is planted in that bride’s name with One Tree Planted.

Each season, we pick a new charity to donate a portion of our sales. We have partnered with GLSEN, The Brigid Alliance, Sunrise Movement, Everytown for Gun Safety, Moms Demand Action, The Bee Conservancy, Pretty Brown Girls, The Lower East Side Girls Club, Women for Afghan Women, NYC Health and Hospitals, and more.

We launched the West Street Wedding Collective Mentorship Program: A free program for students of color to work on their creative endeavors with local experts.
