How Do I Know Which Gown is THE ONE?!
POV: You've Finished Shopping for Your Wedding Gown, Jumpsuit, or Separates…
You have a hidden photo album of your favorites and a text thread of your friends' and family's favorites. Now what?! We’ve got you covered. Below is a list of our favorite tools to help you choose the one.
Hide Your Final Picks: After shopping, hide all photos and videos of your top favorites for a few days. You need time away to detox and let your shopping experience settle
Limit Opinions: Limit the number of people you ask for opinions and help. Ask yourself; who’s opinions you want and who you just want to be happy for you!
3 Or less Rule: Statistically you can find your dress in 3 or less appointments. Make sure you have 3 gowns or less in your favorites roster. Your 3rd fave will NEVER beat out the 2nd or 1st.
Visualize Your Wedding Day: Imagine the five sensory details of your wedding day: the weather, the smells, the sights, the tastes, and the sounds. Try to paint a picture of that day and imagine what gown you want to be wearing while you experience those
Gut Check: If you are torn between 2-3 gowns, go to sleep one night and say to yourself, “I will email that I want to go with gown X tomorrow morning.” If you wake up and feel uneasy, then it isn’t the one. You are not meant to react a “certain” way when you decide on your dress. All brides feel contentment when they finally say yes!
Follow-Up Appointment: If you are still unsure, make a follow-up appointment to try each gown on again. I suggest doing this alone so you can really feel out what you want
